Over the last few weeks we have had a number of events take place over a range of year groups….

Year 9 Dentistry Trip
The trip was designed by the society of Dentistry to raise awareness of careers in dentistry.  The pupils were given presentations from a dentist, a dental hygienist, a dental technician and more…..

Year 10 Careers Event
The year 10 students have taken part in a large careers event specifically aimed at giving information advice and guidance from experienced staff from a range of industries.  The event included many faculty members from local colleges such as Newcastle College, Gateshead College, New College Durham, Derwentside College, Houghall College, St Bedes Sixth Form Centre.  And staff members from the Police, the Army, the RAF, the Engineering Forum and Northumbria university’s Law department.

Year 8 Careers Morning
Year 8 pupils took part in a fun morning to open their eyes up to a career in something they may normally not think of… The fire brigade, Sports coach, a paramedic or working in horticulture and tree surgery.
